"This was the best trip of my life."
This unique trip goes well beyond a traditional Yoga Retreat. We do stay in a luxury Alpine chalet with an eco heated pool, and we eat delicious and nurturing vegan and vegetarian food, and we do daily yoga. But this alpine retreat weaves majestic nature, magical adventure, and an inspiring community into magical unfolding journey that invites us to tune into our own beat, and flourish.
This retreat is a space for you, to take a breathe, to feel into yourself and remember who you are, to try new challenges and to let yourself blossom and see how best to contribute to creating a better world for all.
The week is gently held to take us on a journey into connection with nature and our essence, reminding ourselves that we are everything that we need to be. Initiatives, adventures, song, ceremony and talking circles flow from one experience to another. There will be plenty of time to breathe and pause and you are always welcome to take time out for a solo; perhaps by the pool.
All La Source trips are strongly based around community. We attract inspiring people and a loving sense of unity is created amongst our guests. Magical bonds are created by sliding down leafy banks and sharing stories around the fire as the sun sets over the mountains. Our weeks are very inclusive and we welcome LGBTQIA+ and everyone from 16 years old.
Each day starts with yoga or movement meditation. Saskia has been teaching yoga for over 15 years and practicing for over 30. The class can be restorative or invigorating according to the group each morning. We may spend time mindfully walking barefoot in the morning dew, saluting to the sun or mastering the perfect head stand.
We'll have a healthy light breakfast to fuel us for the next part of the day.
With three of us facilitating, we are able to really customise the week. If we are planning a challenging alpine hike, there will always be the option for a more gentle stroll.
You'll be exposed to parts of the magical valley that few people get to see. We will delve into all the elements; water, earth, fire and water.
We'll connect with water through wild swimming, dipping in waterfalls and the river. We will connect with the earth and air through various activities, including barefoot walking, forest bathing, hiking, and sleeping on the earth by the river. And we have the unique experience of building our own Temezcal or sweat lodge under the guidance of our Medicine Woman where we connect with the Fire Element.
We stay in one of the few beautiful 5* Chalets in the Samoens Valley with a large flat garden and it's own private eco heated pool. There are 6 en suite bedrooms and guests can choose if they would like their own room, or to share.
We indulge in healthy lovingly-prepared delicious meals sourced as locally and organically as possible. All our meals are vegetarian or vegan and dietary requirements can be catered for. Our chef is a therapist, nutritionalist and accro yoga instructor and he is always happy to share his culinary secrets.
We ask everyone to arrive at Geneva Cornavin Train Station by 3.30pm on Saturday the 5th September. We encourage everyone to come by train to lessen our impact.
