Doggo's

All three hosts have dogs; Java, Pokey and Ashka. They sometimes accompany us on adventures so if you have an issue or allergy with dogs, do let us know.

Organic, Vegan & Vegetarian Food in France

Our chef sources as much organically and locally as possible and lovingly creates delicious and healthy meals for us, taking all dietary requirements into careful consideration.

All of our food is vegan or vegetarian and we avoid using refined sugars, saturated fats and we don't use any processed food.

Booking Process

If you would like to book, check travel costs and timings first. Feel free to call Saskia anytime for advice! When you press BOOK NOW, you will be directed to an extensive on-line questionnaire which will give Saskia all the info she needs to plan your best possible holiday. This info is kept completely confidential and only shared where necessary with the chef and other hosts. You can read all the T&C's before you pay anything.

You will be emailed a Welcome Letter which has all the information you will need about the trip including a suggested kit list and directions.

Insurance

Travel Insurance is strongly recommended. It is inexpensive with Insure & Go. Or if you have insurance and just need a top up for White Water Rafting, Rock Climbing, Parapenting and any other activities you may want to do, you can buy top up insurance from Sports Cover Direct.

What to Bring

The weather in Samoens in the summer is usually around 25 degrees but it is the mountains and can get much cooler. There is a kit list in the Welcome Letter but just in case you want to know now, our suggested list of things to bring is...

sleeping bag for the night out (let us know if you don't have access to one)

large day back pack with waist strap

sun block

swim suit

good walking shoes

rain gear (although you can buy that in Samoens as it is not always needed)

beanie hat, fleece and thin puffa or warm jacket for the night at the refuge

torch

sun hat

large water bottle of at least 1L

sandals or flip flops

and enough comfy active clothes for a week
